Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy is pleased to announce the winners of the annual Kairos awards.
The Kairos Awards for Graduate Students and Adjuncts (formerly the Kairos/Lore Awards)
These three awards recognize outstanding contributions in teaching, research, and service to the field of Computers and Writing by graduate students and non-tenure-track faculty. (These three awards are co-sponsored by Bedford/St. Martin's Press.)
Service: Melanie Yergeau, the Ohio State University
Teaching: Jentery Sayers, University of Washington
Scholarship: Jim Ridolfo, Michigan State University
The Kairos Best Webtext Award
This award recognizes the best academic webtext published in the previous academic year (the webtext does not have to be published in Kairos).
Winners: Jim P. Purdy, soon to be from Duquesne University, and Joyce R. Walker, Western Michigan University for "Digital Breadcrumbs: Case Study of Online Research," published in Kairos 11.2.
The John Lovas Memorial Academic Weblog Award (formerly Kairos Best Academic Weblog Award)
This award recognizes an outstanding blog devoted largely to academic pursuits.
Winner: Alex Reid, SUNY-Cortland, for Digital Digs
