Georgia Southern University Assistant Professor in Technical and Professional Writing (tenure-track)
Required Qualifications:
- completed PhD in Technical, Professional, or Scientific Writing, or closely related field
- scholarly agenda in area of appointment
- experience teaching in computer classroom
Preferred Qualifications:
- interest/experience in grants
- interest/experience in developing industry contacts
- interest/expertise in developing student internships

Georgia Southern University Assistant Professor in Applied Language Analysis (tenure-track) with specialty in computer-aided analysis of text and/or speech
Required Qualifications:
- completed PhD in Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, English, Rhetoric/Composition, or closely related field
- scholarly agenda relating applications of language analysis to teaching and research in department's areas of concentration
Preferred Qualifications:
- interest/experience in grants and in helping colleagues and students learn to apply computer technologies to the analysis of spoken and/or written language

Georgia Southern University Assistant Professor of Writing (tenure-track) to teach in first-year writing program and in Creative Writing or Writing and Culture.
Required Qualifications:
- Terminal degree (PhD or MFA) in English, Rhetoric/Composition, Creative Writing, or closely related field
- 2 years' experience teaching first-year composition in a university with a diverse student population
- Evidence of excellence in teaching in the above context
- Scholarship in writing or published creative writing
Preferred Qualifications:
- An active research, scholarly, or creative writing agenda
- Grants experience

Georgia Southern University Lecturer in Writing Pedagogy (non tenure-track) whose main role is to teach first-year writing but may also teach 1-2 courses per year in other areas within the department. Position includes health and retirement benefits and private office.
Required Qualifications:
- MA in English, Rhetoric/Composition, or closely related field
- 5 years' experience teaching first-year composition in a university with a diverse student population
- Evidence of teaching excellence in the above context
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scholarly, creative, or pedagogical activity and achievements in one of the department's areas of concentration
