Preston in the UK has rolled out city-wide wireless access. Users need to subscribe to a fee-based service but it seems that more and more cities are adding city-wide wireless access. This makes me wonder why I work in a library that has wireless access on only two floors--I mean if they can "wire" an entire city how hard is it to set up access points in a building? Especially when the powers that be are doing their best to get rid of all the books.
