Laptop running out of juice? Fill'er up with vodka! This BBC article (courtesy of an awesome weblog community called Amiga World.net) reveals that Toshiba is about to release alcohol-powered laptops. These special fuel cells can break down methanol and keep laptops working for over five hours.
The prototypes are about the size of a brick, but hopefully these "green" batteries will shrink in size and price as they make their presence felt on the market. Toshiba expects them to make them at least as small as a computer mouse. The cells will also be refillable.
