Apropos of my recent reading of Donald Lazere's recent article in JAC, I was thinking about what a great movie Bulworth was. Have any of you used it in a composition course before, or considered using it?

I have used Bulworth . . .
I used Bulworth in a comp class a few years back. I used the scene where Jay Bulworth raps at his fundraising lunch. I used it to teach audience awareness and expectations. Along with that clip, I showed a clip of Jesse Jackson speaking at a Black church in Philadelphia using a lot of call and response, which the audience expected. It went over quite well (I suspect some of the students thought it was cool to hear “naughty” language in a comp classroom!).
