I've made the embarrassing mistake before of sending an email out to a wider audience than I had intended. But nothing compared to my previous alma mater's recent email gaffe. The New York Time reports that Cornell admissions accidentally sent out "welcoming letters to 1,700 high school students who had submitted early-decision applications, including nearly 550 who had already been rejected in December." While Cornell quickly sent apologies for their mistake, I'm sure they are regretting the ease of electronic communication in this instance.
