Like most of you, I have interests outside of composition & rhetoric. In addition to studying composition as it relates to writing, I also study musical composition. I'm happy today because my latest piece, a little diddy entitled Achilles, has made it in to one of the nation's biggest Mod Compos. A "mod" file is, in this context, a music file created with a program called a "TRACKER," and the term's origin goes back to the Commodore Amiga days when "nurds" like me were making music with Sound Tracker (actually, I used OctaMed.)

Anyway, I hope everyone will take the time to check out my song and consider downloading the rest and voting (the rest of the songs are fabulous, of course). Of course, it's all free and completely anti-commercial (as you'd expect coming from me!)

I'm curious to know how many other compositionists are interested in music.
