Just a quick note for anyone thinking about applying for the Instructional Development Consultant position at Furman: if you'd like to be considered in the first round, you'll need to have your *complete* application in by January 31. Applications will be received and considered after that, but to get you into the formal distribution for the scheduled search committee meetings, we'll need to have everything in by 1/31. (These dates just got nailed down, so apologies for the short notice!)

Job posting: Instructional Development Consultant in the Humanities (Furman)
Submitted by love on January 11, 2006 - 21:27.
Please visit http://facweb.furman.edu/~ctel/IDC/IDC-Humanities.htm. Furman University has just launched an innovative new Center for Teaching and Engaged Learning (CTEL); the core of the Center is to be a team of four Ph.D.-level folks (one for each of the major academic divisions) who are equally adept at thinking, teaching, and technologizing and who happen also to love doing so in collaboration with and in support of other faculty. Experience and expertise in teaching writing would be a strong asset for the Humanities person, so techrhetors are encouraged to apply. Feel free to contact me directly (jane.love@furman.edu) if you'd like further information or have questions.
