South by Southwest Interactive Festival, K-12 Style

The annual South by Southwest Interactive Festival takes place on March 9-13th in Austin, Texas. There is a planned higher-ed meetup there, but I was having trouble finding K-12 attendees. If you are interested, please leave a comment on the K-12 SXSWi meetup page.

Hope to touch base with some educators there...

Forget MySpace, Join Teachers at EducationBridges - Social Networking for Teachers

Social networking is the center of the electronic universe for many people out there, both young and old. Alex Ragone and I talked about the new social networking site for educators, Education Bridges, Teachers Collaborating with Teachers on our live, weekly webcast, 21st Century Learning at EdTechTalk.com.

Alex set up this site, and I would like to invite everyone from the Kairosnews community to come join. I think it is a nice complement to Kairos, as it serves are more of a networking place, and Kairos is more of an information stop.

Google + MySpace - look out job-seekers

The photo had a caption that suggested she may be using an illegal drug. It was enough to make her an undesirable candidate for hire.
