Summer Seminar in Rhetoric & Composition: June 7-11, 2010. Michigan State University
This seminar focuses on helping first-year writing teachers and administrators improve writing instruction. Prominent figures in the field run all-day workshops that facilitate the integration of innovative pedagogies and practices. This year's keynote address will be given by Katie Malcom and Nancy DeJoy the evening of June 6. Full-day workshops will be facilitated by Bump Halbritter, Karl Stolley & Amy Ferdinandt Stolley, Patricia Sullivan, Lisa Green, Nancy DeJoy & Steven T. Lessner, June 7-11, respectively. Participants may attend one or more days of the workshop.
Call for Nominations: 2010 Kairos Awards (February 1, 2010)
Kairos: Rhetoric, Technology, Pedagogy seeks nominations for its annual awards for 2010.
- The Kairos Best Webtext Award for the best academic webtext published in the previous academic year (the webtext does not have to be published in Kairos).
- The John Lovas Memorial Academic Weblog Award (formerly Kairos Best Academic Weblog Award) for an outstanding blog devoted largely to academic pursuits.
- The Kairos Awards for Graduate Students and Adjuncts (formerly the Kairos/Lore Awards), a series of three awards to recognize outstanding contributions in teaching, research, and service to the field of Computers and Writing by graduate students and non-tenure-track faculty. (These three awards are co-sponsored by Bedford/St. Martin's Press.)
Call for Proposals: 23rd Annual Research Network Forum at CCCC

The Research Network Forum was founded in 1987 as a pre-convention workshop at CCCC. The RNF is an opportunity for published researchers, new researchers, and graduate students to discuss their current research projects and receive responses from new and senior researchers. The forum is free to CCCC convention participants. You need not be a work-in-progress presenter to attend.

Call for Webtexts: Kairos Special Issue (Summer 2011; Proposals Due October 1, 2009)

The Summer 2011 special issue of Kairos entitled (Re)mediating the Conversation: Undergraduate Scholars in Writing and Rhetoric will bring together digital scholarship produced by undergraduates composing with new media. This special issue invites undergraduates and their instructors to join the scholarly conversation in writing, rhetoric, and literacy studies through their own digital contributions.

CFP: 4Cs Computer Connection (November 1, 2008)
The Computer Connection, a project of the CCCC Committee on Computers in Composition (7Cs), seeks submissions for short presentations and workshops to be delivered at the Conference on College Composition and Communication in San Francisco, CA, March 11-14, 2009. The CC presentations will be offered during sessions A-D on Thursday, March 12, and sessions F-H on the morning of Friday, March 13.
