British Parliament Meets to Discuss Blogs

BBCNews reports that the Birtish Parliament held its first "blogging seminar" (complete with wi-fi access for members' laptops), to discuss the future of blogs and politics in Britain. Prime Minister Blair walked away promising to open an email account next month, and Tom Watson, the first blogging MP (mentioned here before on Kairosnews), will even be holding a 24-hour "blog-a-thon" on June 26 with a different civic topic covered each hour. If this happened in America, I'm guessing there would be outcries about "time wasted."
