Sometimes I just don't get it. When will people wake up and realize the glory that is modern copyright law? Why can't they just "buy in," and quit committing senseless crimes like trying to put Winnie the Pooh on their dead baby's grave marker? By the Gods, don't they realize that the Disney Corp (cash be unto them), has the sole right to declare when and where their sacred marks appear--and have said, in a very definitive fashion, NO to plastering them on unauthorized tombs? Just because your infant dies some horrible death is no excuse to violate Disney's copyrights. I'm with Disney on this one--if some parents attempt to put Winnie the Pooh or any other Disney character on their dead kid's grave, then they ought to sue the bejeezus out of them. After all, ol' Scrooge McDuck could use the money! What's good for Disney is good for America, so help me Walt. Link via Boing Boing.
