Animal Warmth
This reminds me of the movie Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, where a whole village was powered by pig waste (I think it was their methane?) To me, there just something fascinating about the idea of using farm animals (agriculture production) to drive industry. It seems a strange hybridization of the old world economy with the new.
Perhaps the future of industry does not so much consist of robots and computers as it does animals and manual labor, though animals and machines may be linked to machines in Giger like contortions.
