I'm happy to say that my presentation on Facebook and MySpace, "Cruisin' the Strip", seemed to go over very well at this year's GPACW (Great Plains Alliance for Computers & Writing). Michael Day, Kevin Brooks, and several other with-it jedis were in attendance, and I was happy to make the acquaintance of my co-presenter, Andy Brick. At any rate, if you missed the GPACW, don't feel bad--egomaniacs like me always make recordings! So, please find here links to my Cruisin' the Strip PowerPoint and an unedited audio recording of my spiel. Please be advised: I never want to hear this thing playing within the sound of my voice. Uh. Guess that doesn't make sense, does it?
At any rate, I hope you enjoy this and find it useful. Let me know! And please spare me the inevitable jokes about PowerPernt. ;-)

Oops--audio link fixed
Sorry to all those folks who tried to download the mp3. I inputted the wrong link. It should work now, for better or worse. ;-)

Some of us were presenting at the same time and had to miss your session - so thanks for posting the recording and PPnt. Randall McClure who put the Mankato GPACW together with Lee Tesdell, mentions that reviews of the sessions will be published in Spring 2007 issue of Currents in Electronic Literacy (http://currents.cwrl.utexas.edu/).
