The enCore Consortium
I am pleased to announce the formation of the enCore Consortium and invite any of you with an interest in enCore or in MOO to join. The enCore Consortium is an unincorporated, non-profit organization devoted to supporting the development of the enCore learning environment. Its mission is to provide grassroots support to the enCore Open Source MOO Project initiated by Jan Holmevik and Cynthia Haynes.
Daniel Jung, the new lead programmer for enCore, is working on a new release of enCore (version 5) which promises significant enhancements in usability and functionality for enCore. The beta release of v5 should be out later this Spring, with a target official release date in time for Fall classes. The consortium will also be hosting a Symposium for enCore users on August 12-14 at the University of Texas at Dallas (see flier http://www.encore-consortium.org/poster-new.jpg).
For more information about the enCore Consortium and how you can join, visit our website at http://encore-consortium.org.
