Bruce Q. Hammond, a major developer on ClarisWorks and co-founder of Gobe Software, explains in an interview that gobeProductivewill be released as open source under the GPL. A full-featured office suite, compatible with MS Office file formats, gobe includes word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, and illustrator components. Windows and BeOS versions are currently available, with a Linux version soon to follow.
