The 2004 Graduate Research Network (GRN) at Computers and Writing will meet from 9am to 4pm on June 10 in Iliahi 202 A, B, and C. The GRN is free to all registered conference participants. We have a wonderful bunch of people already signed on to discuss some fascinating work, as well as a host of incredible discussion leaders. See the online program at http://www.georgiasouthern.edu/~writling/GRN/2004/grn2004.pdf for a taste of what’s to come!
Even if you haven’t already signed up to participate, we welcome walk-in’s, so, if you want an exhilarating start for your C&W experience, come join us!! There will be both a morning and an afternoon session,; join us for one or both!
A Subway lunch will be provided, and a University of Hawaii Shuttle van will pick up at the Pacific Beach Hotel from 7 to 9am. Or you can catch a trolley from the University of Hawaii dorms to about 3 blocks from the Kapiolani Community College campus and walk the rest of the way. There are also trolleys from the dorms to the Pacific Beach Hotel for about a $1, where you can then catch the free UH shuttle. As Judith Kirkpatrick, C&W Conference Coordinator says, you should all be “wide awake early anyway” with the time difference.
If you have any questions about the GRN, email me at jwalker@georgiasouthern.edu or look for me sipping a Mai Tai on a sun-kissed Hawaiian beach (I’ll be the one wiggling her toes!).
Aloha (which as we all learned the last time C&W was in Hawaii, means both hello AND goodbye!).
