More good techie toys news for me today. I tried Google's original release of their desktop search and found it wanting because of file format support. Slashdot notes today that Google has a new release. It's a keeper. I'm now searching my Thunderbird email files and OpenOffice formatted files. Note the list of regularly suppoted file formats on Google Desktop's main page. You can pull down the optional OO file format search plugin here.
