A Blair Rewrite
Ex-New York Times reporter Jayson Blair has agreed to write a memoir about his life... Los Angeles-based New Millennium Press has agreed to publish the book, to be called "Burning Down My Master's House: My Life and the New York Times," sources said. | A contract in the six-figure range could be signed as early as today for a book expected to hit newsstands in spring 2004. --Keith J. Insert jokes along the lines of "How will the publisher know he actually wrote it" and "He'll probably just pilfer chapters from from authors like Bill Maher and Eric Alterman."
OK, fabrication isn't the same thing as "Plagiarism" but I'll file it under that topic anyway.

Plagiarized comment
I was thinking about inserting a joke along the lines of "How will the publisher know he actually wrote it" or "He'll probably just plagiarize chapters from from authors like Bill Maher and Eric Alterman."
But I thought to myself, what's the point? I'm not getting a six-figure advance or anything.

Non-original Observation
The thought occurred to me that I might add a funny comment something like "Will the editors be able to tell he was the author" or "Maybe he will simply copy sections written by Eric Alterman or Bill Maher."
Then the thought occurred to me, why bother? It's not like I expect over a thousand dolars in a contract!
*wink*

Nice one
Good job on that--I suspect it probably would have made it past turnitin.com. Maybe you should consider a new career with the New York Times!
