The School of Arts and Humanities at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor in Literary Studies with a specialty and administrative experience in Rhetoric and Composition to teach graduate courses in that field and supervise TAs teaching first-year rhetoric and composition in networked computer labs. Appointment begins September 1, 2008. Ph.D. in appropriate field and university teaching experience required. Administrative experience is highly desirable

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to publishing, undergraduate and graduate teaching, interdisciplinary education and research, and professional academic service. The School offers an interdisciplinary program built on four interrelated areas: Literary Studies, Historical Studies, Aesthetic Studies, and Arts and Technology.
