Assistant Professor of English

We invite applicants to apply for a tenure-track position (PCN: 301123). Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate technical/professional writing courses and composition at all levels as well as service and research. Normal teaching load is three courses per semester, with one course per year at the graduate level.



We seek applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in English (completed by 1 August 2003) with concentrated course work in both professional writing and composition/rhetoric.

  • experience in teaching composition

  • specialization in professional/technical writing

  • competency in one or more of the following areas preferred: computers and composition, visual rhetoric, directing internships
