Judge Rules that Web Need Not Comply with ADA

According to CNetNews.com, "In the first case of its kind, U.S. District Judge Patricia Seitz said the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies only to physical spaces, such as restaurants and movie theaters, and not to the Internet." The case tested specifically whether Southwest Airlines had to make their website handicap accessible or not. Read the article.

This is a pretty important ruling. Now we'll have to wait and see whether alternative legislation is proposed which will extend the ADA to the web.
