Well, rather than testing it out elsewhere, I thought I'd just install the subscription module and see what happens. Logged in Kairosnews users will now see a "Subscribe" link underneath each node with the rest of the links such as "add new comment" and "read more." Clicking on this should (as I've said, I have not tested it), subscribe you to that node to receive email notifications when the node is updated or new comments are posted. Similarly, when logged in, you will find a "my subscriptions" link in the right hand column near the top in the same area as "create content," "recent posts" and "view inbox." That link will take you to the main subscription page where you can unsubscribe to nodes, as well as elect to subscribe to specific topic categories where you'll receive a notice when a new story or blog is posted to that category.
