It's not done yet, but I was getting tired of the basic blue. I'll try to be more creative. What I'd really like is a small graphic we could use as a logo in front of the site name in the header. Any suggestions?

New Theme
Did you do the sidebar, Charlie? I really like the pattern (I have a bedspread very similar to it called "Manhattan."). Maybe we ought to try a theme more related to the concept of kairos...Perhaps get a clock or stopwatch in there somewhere.
sidebar & logo
I think you might recognize the sidebar background if you go here.
The idea of using a clock sounds interesting. Stopwatches stop, so probably the clock would be more appropriate to indicate timeliness.
logo
Perhaps a digital clock? -- But what time would it show? (Please: nobody say 4:20.)
For things related to rhetoric, technology, and pedagogy, an image of a computer keyboard's lower-right side-by side ?/ and shift keys could carry all sorts of interesting implications: writing, questions, directory slashes or combined interests, shifts in all three things -- or is that just way too abstractly symbolic?

keyboard
I think you are right about the keyboard. That could also work. Perhaps what we need is a collage of sorts? I did something like that on osddp's banner.
4:20
Geez, learn something new everyday. I was curious so I looked up the meaning of this in the Wikipedia. Now a relevant question is, MRE, what--or rather, WHEN--have you been smoking? :-P
I'll give it a shot
Charlie, send me the color scheme (hex#s) and pixel dimensions, and I'll try to come up with something interesting. zechandl at colby dot edu. cheers, Zach.
Thanks, Zach!
That would be awesome, Zack. And actually, you can borrow from the colors in the sidebar graphic. That's part of the official Kairos logo so we want to keep that. Then I can change the color codes based upon your design (or you can suggest some). Would that be easiest?
