It's been a while since I've seen one of these "electronic communication kills writing" pieces. Maybe they are cyclical and we'll see a barrage of them now. More interesting than Literacy Limps Into the Kill Zone is the Slashdot discussion of it. I'm tempted to dig back through Slashdot and find older discussions about the same thing. I'm curious to know whether there are any shifts in understanding writing in this context within the tech community.
