I was recently pointed toward a wiki that is filled with great information about academic careers in the U.S. I highly recommend the whole thing, but especially this repository of information about this year's job search. Because, let's face it, we're terribly nervous what with all this waiting to hear from places! At this point we've made our peace with just crossing schools off the list, even if that means we're rejected.
