Microsoft Word Flaw Great News for Hackers

A dangerous flaw in Microsoft Word software allows attackers to steal files from your computer.

The attacker will send you a word doc and ask you to revise or make changes to it. A hidden code will then attach a document of their choice to the response--without your permission or knowledge.

The report indicates that the flaw is most serious in Word 97, an edition that Microsoft is no longer repairing. They are "looking into" solving the problem in later versions, however, and a patch should be available soon.
