Earlier today, I posted about Jeffrey Veen's Making A Better Open Source CMS to drupal.org. In response, Dries has offered 4 hours of his development time for implementing Veen's suggestions for every one hour of consultancy Veen and/or his company spends in reviewing Drupal. This would be good for Drupal users in general, including those of us on Kairosnews. So the question is whether or not this was just an academic critique, or is Veen really interested in improving open source CMS's?

How do you find Drupal?
Hi There,
I am cruising Drupal sites and came to yours.
I don't know the answer to your post, but I wanted to ask you what you thought of Drupal and how easy is it for a novice to implement. I'm thinking of implementing Drupal soon....
Thanks,
Ed

Ease of Drupal
Just out of curiosity, what draws you to Drupal?
experience?
That would all depend on a number of factors such as
simple weblog would help
terms of customization
All those things considered, Drupal can be a little more difficult
at the onset, but much more flexible as you learn it. And it certainly
gets much easier to administrate once you get the hang of it a little.
As far as site users are concerned, I would say it is just as easy as
other platforms for them to use, although it tends to have a better
community emphasis.
If you are not in a hurry, wait a couple of months as CivicSpace is
moving toward site profiles in their configuration wizard. What that
means is that after initial install and answering configuration
questions, Drupal will be running and ready for posting of content by
users and admins with minor tweaking, rather than an administrator
building it all the way up from scratch. If you would like to see what
the configuration wizard will look like, I'm currently working on the
project and we have information about the href="http://civicspacelabs.org/node/view/925"> most recent draft at
CivicSpace.
Note that CivicSpace is
Drupal with many of the contributed modules not normally included with
the core download already installed.
