Mozilla Wants to Rumble With IE

Here's the spin on AOL's dropping of Netscape. Note that the Mozilla Foundation and AOL are positioning this as a move that's best for Mozilla, as a way to compete more strongly with IE. Only a bare hint that AOL's support of Mozilla/Netscape was merely a tool in the previous AOL/MS litigation. From Wired.

Note that arstechnica suggests that AOL may have dumped Netscape as a result of the the AOL/MS settlement.
