Need a News Aggregator?

If you like the Read News page on Kairosnews, but wish you could have your own configured for your reading interests, try Bloglines. Free registration and it's browser-based. Admittedly, I haven't tried Bloglines myself, so someone give us a review.

Personally, I like the convience of the browser-based news aggregator which comes with Drupal that I have on cyberdash versus the client-based ones as I can read it on any machine with Internet access.

Bloglines evaluation

Following your lead Charlie, I've recently signed up for the Bloglines service. It's a very attractive feature for me in that I find that I am depending on RSS feeds more and more for my information, but my aggregator lacks the perfect portability afforded by a web browser interface like that of Bloglines.

The Bloglines terms of use and privacy policy didn't contain any obvious deal-breakers for me. It looks very promising. My only concern is the risk that it might suddenly become a for-pay service; however, I don't have that much at stake in that it only took a few minutes to set up. It seems that Bloglines intends to generate revenue from corporate accounts, while providing the service to individuals for free.
