With Mozilla nearing the final 1.0 stable release, Netscape is now offering Netscape 7.0 Preview Release 1. In addition to the many features offered in Mozilla, Netscape 7.0 PR 1 includes Netscape Radio with access to 175 Net radio stations and an improved version of AOL's IM. Given the stability of the Mozilla 1.0 Release Candidates (I have used RC2 and RC3 in Windows and RC2 in Linux ), the Netscape Preview Release should be very stable and worth downloading for anyone using 6.x or still stuck in Netscape 4.x land.

Re: Netscape 7.0 Ready for Preview
My favorite new features with Navigator in Mozilla RC1 & RC2 have been tabbed browsing, an option to eliminate pop windows, and the ability to select from multiple themes to change the skin. With tabbed browsing, the web surfer has the option of opening new tabs instead of windows, which allows switching web pages without going to a new page. Just click on the tab (see a screenshot of this window in Linux with tabs as I compose this post--it's a big picture, so be patient when viewing).
