28-year-old Matthew Brown, a Starbucks (ex-)employee, has been fired for writing about his job and his co-workers in his blog. He believed that only his family and, as quoted by the New York Post article, "Mired in the Blog," "about 10 friends" would ever see it. And until his boss discovered it, maybe he was right.
The amazing thing to me is not that this happened, but that the New York Post is just now picking this story up; Jason Koulouras wrote this story up at blogcritics back in early September. The writers for the Post claim that Brown was fired "three weeks ago" -- talk about leaving an article on the back burner!
As a more timely conclusion to this story , see The Papal Bull's latest Llama Droppings that compiles a list of people who have been fired from their jobs because of their blogs.
