Online Learning News Blog

From Ray Schroeder:

"We are confronted with the challenge of keeping up with the changing technologies and related developments in higher education, distance education, and online learning. For years, I have scanned the news daily for items of relevance in the field of new communication technologies and online learning. It seemed most efficient to share these news items with colleagues, students and other academics who also may be interested in following the developments in this field. So, I created two web logs: Online Learning News and Techno-News. I scan online news sources each morning beginning at about 6:00 am central time. My first postings are generally completed by 8:30 am. I commonly make additional postings at midday and early evening.

The intent of the news blogs is to serve the academic community with links to relevant news and information. I post minimal information, usually quoting a sentence or two, to identify the topic and relevance of each item with a prominent active hyperlink to the full report or article. The intent is not to replace the reading of news sources, but rather to encourage blog readers to visit the cited sources. "
