Some of you might have seen the YouTube video Extreme Makeover: PowerPoint Edition by Dean Shareski. It's a great video that makes some excellent points about how to use (and how NOT to use) PowerPoint effectively. It basically amounts to K.I.S.S. Enjoy, but then promptly forget all of this "common sense" advice. It's like so totally no way. The best PowerPoints USE IT ALL. Transitions, flashy transitions, clip art, templates, sounds, custom animation, word art...Don't believe me? Good. It's time for you to crank up the PowerPoint Ballad. It'll make you a PowerPoint believer.
And, no, Keynote and Impress don't go all the way up to 11. PowerPoint does. Stonehenge.
