Here's yet another story in the RIAA student intimidation saga. Jesse Jordan, a freshmen information sciences major at RPI, created a search engine for his campus network:

"You go to the site, you type in a search term, and it finds files on the network," Jordan said. Jordan compares his site to Google, the popular Internet search engine.

However, the RIAA filed a suit against Jordan for running a "Napster network."

In response to the suit, Jordan, with the advice of his father, determined that his only course of action was to give the RIAA his entire life's savings.

Depressing, isn't it?
