Probably the simplest approach to setting up a weblog is to choose simple weblog software. The more complex and feature rich a product is, the more technical skills may be required of the user.

A good first weblog is Blogger. To start, go to the Blogger site and click on the Start Now button under Create Your Own Blog!. Or, click here....

You'll be asked to create an account. Blogger offers a free (supported by small banner ads) weblog - you'll choose this option for now. Once you have created the account, you can give the weblog a name and choose the color and layout scheme for the weblog.

You'll be given an URI to your weblog. This is what you'll give to others so they can visit your weblog. To add new entries at any time, go back to the main Blogger site, log in (using the user name and password you supplied). Then select your weblog from the list on the left.
