Unfortunately, I used just about every one of these cliches in my pitiful attempts at web design, so at least I know I wasn't alone. Of course, just because something is as cliched as Shakespeare's sonnets doesn't mean it's worthless. Gradients? Cliche? No way. I love gradients too much to ever give them up.
