Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition or related field required by appointment date, with specialization in cultural studies, literacy studies, rhetorical history, writing technologies, and/or composition theory as they relate to teaching and research in the field of writing studies. Ph.D. required by starting date of position, August 1, 2007. Experience teaching with technology and evidence of scholarly potential and excellence in teaching are required. Two to four years college teaching experience preferred. Preference may be given to candidates with publications or presentations at professional conferences and to candidates with experience working with diverse student populations. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the department’s degree concentration in Writing and Culture, as well as first-year composition.
