Tibetan Manuscripts Soon to be Available Digitally

In New York, a consortium of organizations led by the Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center has begun digitizing literally millions of pages of Buddhist-influenced literature from Tibet, all of which was either hand-written or printed with wooden blocks. They hope for full internet access eventually, though some of their collection is restricted, not only by copyright, but by requests from "living Tibetan lineage holders" (quotation from FAQ at TBRC homepage).
