Do You Blog? Weblogs for Educators
As of May 2006, this is the site of a redoubled effort to create not just a repository of information, but a more collaborative space for the development and dissemination of blogging research and scholarship. Everyone is encourage to read, respond and contribue their work. If you have any questions, please post them in the FAQ and we'll work to get the answers!
The purpose of this workshop tutorial is to demonstrate:
- what a weblog is (and is not);
- how educators are using weblogs to teach and learn;
- how to select and use a weblog;
- provide a repository of information to help with theoretical and practical blogging concerns.
NOTE: This collaborative book is a workshop tutorial on weblogs created by Randy Brown of CarvingCode. Kairosnews members are encouraged to participate in continuing the construction of this resource. Registered site members can edit the existing pages or add new ones.

Blogging in Education...
Hi Randy, I just stumbled across your book here and am really interested to find out how you have found the collaboration with Drupal? We're currently starting http://blendedlearning.wikispaces.org - a similar resource for blogging in education, but that anyone can edit using a Creative Commons Share-alike license.
We had considered using Drupal, but a few things stopped us:
* the necessity to login to participate
* the lack of good revision control for the collaborative book.
I'd be really intrested to hear about your experience using Drupal and whether you'd agree with the above points or not?
