Yesterday, NPR reported of a project at the University of Georgia to create a "wireless zone" on campus and downtown Athens which would allow people to access internet content with their notebooks, cellphones, or PDA's. The project is initiated by a university high tech think tank but the content is being developed by undergraduate students as part of their classwork. Total cost--$85K.
