Since the last release, drupal.org has been plagued by server problems at the same time that it has seen an increase in bandwith of almost triple to 70GB of traffic per month. The site is incredibly slow, with pages even timing out, and in much need of a new server. Given this, Drupal is working on starting a foundation and has already provided a PayPal button on the front page of the site to assist with paying for the new server the developers will be installing later this week. So if you are using Drupal yourself, or even just happy with the use you get out of it here on Kairosnews, consider offering a small donation to the Drupal community.
