WordHustler
Full disclosure: one of the founders of this site, due to launch May 19, is a former student of mine. But here's an interesting re-mediation: Web back to print.
WordHustler is conceived as a social network that, according to the press release, "provides writers with a bevy of innovative tools designed to help authors of all genres to get their manuscripts into the hands of editors and find publishing success."
Crafted by John Singleton and Anne Walls, WordHustler "offers a free database of over 3000 community-moderated US literary markets, a submission tracker, a cover letter composer, a project manager, and OS X dashboard widgets for submission tracking on-the-go."
At the end of the day, a print, snail mail version of your submission goes out to journals, little magazines, and anyone else who still looks to USPS to deliver them their much needed copy. Will it work? Only time will tell. :->

To make a living as a
To make a living as a writer, you need to be able to do two things very well: write and think of more things to write. Unfortunately, you’re also a one-person business —printing, copying, mailing, and all the other mundane things that go with it. That’s why WordHustler is so important. I sent off 11 entire submissions in under 45 minutes. WordHustler is a winner. Now I have more time to write.
