I've brushed off the cobwebs, oiled all the joints, and restored Wordmunger.com back to working order. Originally Wordmunger was just a satire Web site, but in it's newest incarnation it's a genuine full scale Weblog, powered by Wordpress. Consider this an official invitation to bookmark the site. Visit early, visit often. (I'm planning daily updates)
I decided to post this to Kairosnews now because in today's entry, I opine about the introduction of Sony's new e-ink powered e-book reader, which seems to me to be right up Knews' alley.
If you have any suggestions for how I can improve Wordmunger, I'd appreciate it if you'd add a comment here.
Wordmunger is back!

the return of wordmunger
good to see you back. nice site :)
and you'll have to let us know what you think of WordPress. does it seem a good alternative to MT? seems worthwhile considering since WordPress *is* open source (and GPL'd at that, I think).
WordPress
Well, I've never used Moveable Type, so I can't say much about what that's like. WordPress was incredibly easy to install. The main difficulties I've had with it have been due to my own ineptitude with CSS, and nothing to do with WordPress. If I had been willing to accept the default layouts, I'd have had no problems with it at all.
I'm still not using nearly all the features of WordPress, so I may chime in later with a review once I've more thoroughly explored the platform.
The reason I'm back now is because I've finished the first draft of a book I've been working on for the past year. Revision isn't nearly as taxing (for me at least) as composition, so I've become more active online again.
